Penny Lee is an Award-winning television and film editor with over 25 years experience and has contributed to many hours of original programming for cable networks, government agencies, private corporations, trade associations and non-profit organizations.  (National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Travel Channel, TLC, PBS, HGTV, US Army to name a few.)

 

Her background encompasses a wide range of video and television projects that include short and long form documentaries, reality TV series, training, promotional or educational videos, commercials, PSA and other entertainment programs.  She is creative, competent and solid in SD and HD workflow as well as possess a strong knowledge technically in working with 3rd party software, compression formats and DVD authoring.  An extremely proficient editor in non-linear editing on Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro systems.
 

Penny has also worked on a few independent documentary films, THE CHILDREN WE SACRIFICE and CRUCIBLE OF WAR, films that depict the harshness of life on the other side of the globe.   These films were screened at film festivals around the world. 

Penny is an editor, but also a storyteller that can take a client’s vision and create a production that meets all demands.  In addition, Penny has produced and edited two documentaries of her own, THE CYC EXPERIENCE, which highlights the story of a local Asian-American immigrants’ social organization, and for Back Bay Mission, BRINGING HOPE HOME, a promotional/informational documentary of the only ministry in Biloxi, MS, that is still trying to rebuild areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
